Mama Mia

A tasty slice of pizza
in Little Old New York
is best enjoyed barehanded
and without a knife and fork.

But mozzarella lovers
have faced inflation’s blast.
The cost of crusty comfort
has now risen up, at last.

From up by Lincoln Center
to outside City Hall,
the bad news has engendered
a collective “Dammit all!”

About the Poem

I think this speaks for itself and is quite current.
